The latest updates on Eccentric Orbit...

Fall 2006 - Tom Benson has joined Eccentric Orbit bringing new sounds to the palette on electric violin, synth mandolin (no, really!), and synth guitar. Tom also has a fine ear for the recording process and is contributing new compositions. As a band we have been adapting the AotM material to the new line-up and working on the next release. Read about Tom's background  here.

June 4, 2006 - We are sad to report that Ed Broms has left the band. After several months of promising work and our NewEars show at Lowell, MA, in September 2005 Ed determined that participating in the band and maintaining his busy schedule as a professional musician was not possible. We are actively pursuing other options.

June 4, 2006 - A new Review has been posted by ProgressiveWaves.com. It was originally written in French, so forgive the poor (but free!) translation.

September 3, 2005 - Two new Reviews just out. See what they're saying on ProgressiveEars.com and in the British magazine "Feedback."

August 8, 2005 - Eccentric Orbit is proud to announce a new member. Ed Broms will be taking over on the keys for Derek Roebuck who left EO several months ago due to other personal commitments. Check out Ed's diverse background on the Band Members page.

August 8, 2005 - Eccentric Orbit announces its World Premier gig! We will be opening for Nathan Mahl on September 9 at the Playloft in Lowell, MA. Visit http://www.newears.org/art_rock_series.htm for show details. See you there!

August 6, 2005 - Check out 5 new Reviews as well as how the album fared in Top Albums of 2004 lists on our new Awards and Recognition page.

December 5, 2004 - The band answered questions for Sergio Vilar of Nucleus and Nobuhisa Nakanisha of Japan's Euro-Rock Press magazine. Check out our new interviews page (be sure to scroll to the bottom to see the cool Japanese page layout).

Also lots of new reviews posted including Frank Long of ZNR, Peter Pardo from Sea of Tranquility, Drive Magazine (translated from Italian), Andy Thompson's Ultimate Mellotron Recording List, and Eric Neuteboom of ProgArchives. Check them out on our reviews page.
