Measured Chaos - Electric Blues
![]() |
MEASURED
CHAOS
was formed from the splinters of several well known Detroit area heavyweights
("Savage Grace","Lightnin'", "Vantage Point!").
From writing their own brand of blues-fusion to interpreting songs by
the masters, one thing is for sure, these guys can really play. A typical show served up by the Michigan based band opens with some tasty and inspired appetizers. Nuggets like Willie Dixon’s “You Can’t Judge A Book By The Cover”, or their very snaky version of “Back Door Man”. The main course displays some exhilarating originals such as “Six Days Of Sinnin’”, the jazzy “Night Ridin’” and the fiery “Spreadin’ The News (Not Preachin’ The Blues)”. The frosting on the cake is the delicious interaction between hot-blooded guitars and passionate vocals. ~ International touring Musicians~ |
Fushicho Daiko - Japanese Taiko Drummers
![]() |
Taiko
is the Japanese word for "great drum." Fushicho is the word for the mythical
Phoenix. Fushicho Daiko is a performing
group of fiercely dedicated musicians and modern masters of the ancient
musical art of Japanese drumming. This art form called taiko, originated
centuries ago in Asia; and in Japan was a means to signal to distant villages
the approach of an advancing enemy, an impending disaster, or time to
come in from the fields for dinner. Only in the last 50 years in Japan, and the last 25 years in North America, has taiko evolved into a powerful performing art. A performance by Fushicho Daiko is both spellbinding and stimulating. Deep in the core of every human heart is an instinctive desire to beat a drum. Fushicho Daiko satisfies this eternal yearning in an unforgettable, dramatic way. Their evocative sounds and pulsating rhythms combine to make music one literally feels as well as hears. Furthermore, their colorful costumes and masks accentuate the stylized high energy of their performance. Primeval and haunting, the music can truly be a cathartic experience. Based in Phoenix, and founded in 1992, Fushicho Daiko is a 5 person ensemble; Esther Vandecar, Tony Trapasso, Eileen Morgan, Ken Koshio, and Marsha Robb. They have traveled all across the United States sharing their music with schools, colleges, and communities in a number of different venues. China and Mexico tours are slated in the near future. . Group, duo performances and teaching and educational workshops available. International Performers! |
Drums of the African Diaspora - International Drummers/Folklorists

rare pop classics, Jewish folk music and Cuban influenced melody. Early
swing and blues feels to sambas and slow ballads, even bluegrass and haunting
dissonant melodies have been played at various venues such as bars, clubs,
