Suburban Ice Macomb (SIM)

We haven't done a Bantam Match-Up lately ...

... so, we were delighted to accept the Invitation to do this one ...

Mr. Hutek and Mr. Nelson will be On-Duty, tonight ...
(Rink Manager Andonoff and Scorekeeper Recchia are behind.)

Toledo is one of Four Ohio Teams ...

... in this LCAHL Bantam A Howe 2 East Division ...

"The drive up to SIM's not bad ... just boring," said a Toledo
HC Randy Hamilton.

Installed in Net for the Cherokee is #30 Logan Bern ...

... with #36 Nickolas Santi Minding for the Mavericks.

Coming into this Game ...

... Toledo had a Better W/L Record than Macomb ...

... and, at 11:41 P1, Scores First ...

... #15 Caleb Hauenstein from #13 Mitch Perrault.

At around 6:27 on the P1 Clock ...

... Macomb goes on the Power-Play ...

... and Evens the Score at 5:55 P1 ...

... #10 Matthew Walny from #19 Andrew Carroll and #8 Ryan
McLean.

Period One comes to a close ...

... and both Coach Rob McLean ...

... and Coach Hamilton call for More Offense!

P2 was More of the Same ...

... with Special Teams ...

... not much of a Factor either way ...

Goaltending was Excellent ...

... at Both Ends ...

Late in P2, Toledo turned up the Offense A Notch ...

... Crashing the Net for the Go-Ahead ...

... #15 Hauenstein, again, unassisted.

Macomb was Short-Handed now ...

... but, the Mavs G & D Departments ...

... kept the Visitors In-Check ...

... with just a One Goal Advantage to End the Period.

"I like everything about this game ...

... except the Score," said Coach McLean.

At 12:46 P3, #10 Walny and #11 Eric Gadzinski ...

... combine for Macomb Goal Number Two ...

... to Re-Tie the Game ...

Well That just got the Cherokee ...

... Back on the Warpath ...

... attacking the Mavs Stockade ...

... with Increased Enthusiasm!

Macomb circled the Wagons ...

... and Held off the Intruders ...

... with a Raid of their own on the Enemy Camp.

Hauenstein fires on Net ...

Mr. Santi was definitely seeing Most of the Shots now ...

... while, in the meantime ...

... Mr. Bern was somewhat ...

... less busy ...

Eventually, at 7:33 P3 ...

... Toledo Recaptures the Lead ...

... thanks to #22 Jacob Roman from #2 Ryan Rafac.

Then, at 6:43 ...

... Macomb was Back-in-the-Box ...

... so, Toledo put Their 'A' Line Out ...

... and, it was Pandemonium for the Home Boyz ...

... with Shots coming from Everywhere ...

... until the Visitors Scored once more ...

... from #13 Perrault and #15 Hauenstein ...

... to #14 Noah Hindall at 5:10 P3.

Now, it was Toledo's Turn ...

... to Feel Some Heat ...

Macomb had Their Chances ...

... That's fer sure ...

... but then, Took a Penalty ...

... and had to Back-Off on Offense until 1:40 P3 ...

... when Toledo went to The Box ...

... allowing Captain Ketner ...

... to make it a One-Run Ballgame ...

... thanks to #10 Walny and #19 Nolan Arbour.

Not much Time Left in this one ...

... so,
Macomb pulls the Goalie for Extra Offense and ...

Oh, oh ...

#15 Hauenstein Grabs a Hat-Trick out of this ...
Playmaker
to #13 Perrault.

Oops ... well, THAT didn't work out as planned ...

Good game ... good game ... good game!

Macomb decides to use up the Curfew Clock ...

... so the Capt'n leads off ...

... with some Circle Drills and so forth.
A Very Entertaining
Hockey Game!
