Magma Systems (aka Marc Adler) has been developing software for the PC and Unix environments since 1984.

Magma Systems has been consulting for Fortune 500 companies since 1986, both in the role of development/architecture and technical manager. Areas of expertise include Internet development, financial workstations, and just about anything having to do with information systems. Buzzwords associated with Magma include C++, Java, Visual Basic, COM/DCOM, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, Motif, and Object Oriented Design. Past clients include Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, American Express, Schering Plough, Citicorp, and ADP.

In addition to consulting, Magma Systems was a very successful software development company back in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Magma developed several successful commercial software products, mostly in the area of word processing/text editing and programmer productivity. JFPlan - Java Flight Planning Software

Java versions of our VFR flight planning program have been released. This software is released as freeware to the aviation community.

There are two versions of this program - one that uses the Java Abstract Window Toolkit (AWT) and one that uses the new Java Swing components.
