Service & Outreach
Faith Into Action
At Magnolia UCC, opportunities abound for putting our faith into practice in the community. Our congregation provides financial support for a dozen charitable organizations, including the Family & Adult Service Center for the homeless, the Compass-Cascade Women's Center, New Horizons Ministries for street youth, and the Magnolia Helpline. But outreach means more than just sending a check. Here are just a few of the many ways church members give of their time and energy: * Preparing and serving monthly dinners at the Family & Adult Service Center * Delivering Christmas gifts to disadvantaged families * Supporting our Afghani refugee family * Taking part in the CROPWalk to raise funds to stop world hunger * Painting a bookcase to donate to a family shelter * Collecting canned goods for the Ballard/Magnolia Food Bank * Coordinating an Alternative Gift Market to generate income for third-world craftspeople Come be a part of our team as we work to put Christ's teaching into action.
