I hate Home Depot!
The electricians were upgrading our service from 100 amp to 200. One of the things they needed was a 2" pipe nipple for a conduit from the new box to the new meter socket outside. This runs through 12" of cement block. I had Home Depot cut and thread the pipe to be used for the nipple.
The electricians wanted some more threads added so they would have more flexibility on how much they could screw the pipe in. So I tool the pipe back to be re-threaded.
Home Depot refused to re-thread the pipe. They machine was physically able to do it, and they knew I bought the pipe there. They refused to re-thread the pipe because 'it might damage the machine'. It not even their machine - it belongs to Ridgid!
I was so pissed I could spit nails - here I have electricians on the clock waiting for the pipe and they wouldn't give me 5 minutes to re-thread.
