Hi, I'm Katie Jordan. But what can I really say about myself? Well, I guess I like to think of myself as a mixture of a bunch of things: a student, an artist, an actress, a klutz, a friend, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter.

But most of all, I pride myself on being a writer.

So, when I heard my sister Sarah talking about The Tattoo -- a group of teens who write for The Bristol Press -- I knew instantly that I wanted in.

And they wanted me too, I guess. Sarah told me one afternoon that they wanted me to come because I was "an accomplished writer." (I had placed in a poetry contest from a literary magazine.)

So I started coming to all the meetings and activities. I've made a lot of great friends and had a lot of fun, and I hope I'll continue doing so long into my future.

Jordan is an 8^th grader at Chippens Hill Middle School in Bristol. She joined The Tattoo a year ago.
