An open letter to terrorist killers
By Kaishi Lee
Sorry about the hard-line approach.
America isn't about skyscrapers, financial centers or military centers.
America isn’t about a place or helpless bodies.
America is about an idea.
You have attacked the ideal of the American way of life.
You have tried to destroy the various freedoms granted to individuals by the Bill of Rights.
You have tarnished the American dream.
You’re the problem.
America’s thinking is simple: If you're not on my side, you're my enemy – and if you're my enemy, you're dead.
You have declared war against humanity.
Nobody accepts terrorism.
It’s the world versus you.
Get the picture?
Note the old phrase, from Thomas Jefferson, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
By your actions, you have threatened the liberty of all freedom of people in the world.
But we’re not scared.
We’re united against you, our nemesis.
You may argue that you’re doing this in the name of God.
What atrocity and blasphemy!
Religion doesn’t teach you to kill.
If a war is what it takes to dissuade you, so be it. American soldiers are willing to shed blood if that brings you to justice.
Remember Pearl Harbor, Vietnam and the Gulf War.
In war, people and you die. I’m not hiding the truth.
Among the first TV footage the world and I saw was of Palestinians dancing in the streets and chanting: “Long live Osama Bin Laden” and “You start and we will follow.”
I won’t jump to conclusions.
I don’t care what nationality, race or religion you come from.
All I know is you’re murderers and cowards.
You’re scourges and tyrants.
You’ve succeeded in telling the world that, “We are a heinous bunch of cowards still hiding in our dens. We live in darkness, work in darkness and love darkness. We are animalistic and inhuman. We are evil.”
It’s too late to repent now.
Frankly speaking, I don’t care.
The world is rallying behind America.
We won’t stand aside.
You’re our target.
And we’ll hit the bull’s eye.
Say your prayers.
