One of our local Sierra Club members organized a trip to Arches National Park. I love this part of our country - it's so stark and beautiful. The trip was only for three nights, but we were able to cover a lot of ground in that amount of time.
It's hard to get a campsite in the park at this time of year. We had to make
the reservations back in January. Our campsite
was in the only campground in the park, which has amazing views and is very
close to some of the most interesting features of the park.
We were able to visit narrow canyons
between fins
of rock.
At this time of year the cactus
flowers
as well as other flowers are blooming. We also attended a ranger led hike that
features some of the seasonal flowers.
The crows
have adapted pretty well to people!
Some of the other Sierra Club members who attended include several atractive
women
and Ramon and Jeanie
Cliff and Craig and I visited Arches a couple years ago, but we didn't get to
walk up to the base of Delicate Arch
like I did this time.
I want to visit again soon!
