Started the new job. Its kinda slow going. My thoughts are all twisted as the State hired me back as a consultant. So I am back at my old job full time since May 26. I expect to be there 2 days a week thru the end of August. If I had the chance, I would take the Director position. Seems my perceptions of upper management were a little askew. My old boss did not the management and mad his feelings known to me. I believed him but his view is HIS view. Now I feel that upper management is somewhat comitted to the Office. That's enough for me, I think.

Alas, I may have missed my chance to get in as Director. They are trying to hire a new Director and the guy is here as an hourly 2 days a week until the paperwork is worked out.

My new job seems distant and boring. They are about data development and very conservative. I think there is opportunity long term for my career but it will be work to get these guys moving where I want to go.
