Wildfires spread smoky haze over Loveland
By Jon Pilsner
Loveland Reporter-Herald
The smoky haze that settled over Loveland and much of Northern Colorado on Thursday came from wildfires burning throughout the Western U.S., a weather expert said.
Don Day of DayWeather in Cheyenne said the smoke that was visible Thursday came mostly from a fire burning near Cody, Wyo., near Yellowstone National Park.
That fire flared up recently, kicking a large amount of smoke into the air. With the current wind patterns, those particles were carried south to Colorado."
