Skin-On-Frame Kayak Building

After completing my cedar-strip kayak, I became interested in traditional skin-on-frame (SOF) kayak building. Part of the attraction is the classic lines of the boats and the variability of the design. The other attraction is the rapid build time and low cost. To date I have built two SOF West Greenland-style boats. McKinley's Blue Bomber was a project my daughter and I worked on together to build a boat sized to her 7 year-old frame.
