Overview
Summary of Background. Until recently I worked as a Director of Business Systems Integration at Cable & Wireless, and prior to that for Digital Island, where I was Vice President of Information Technology. My work experience has provided me with a strong mix of both strategic and implementation experience in IT. I have a diverse technical background in the area of software development, operational and project management, telecommunications management, and business systems integration, gained in over 100 projects over a 20-year period. Between 1987 and 1995, my entrepreneurial bent led me to Kenya, where I founded a software development firm in Nairobi. I also have extensive experience as an independent consultant.
Career Goal. My overall objective is to obtain a management-level position in information technology, utilizing proven international and IT leadership skills. I would also be open to interesting opportunities in other areas as well, including management consulting.
What Matters Most to Me. My main priority is to find a position that provides challenging work, significant growth opportunity, and the chance to work with other smart and motivated people on meaningful projects. I believe strongly that people succeed in their professions when they're part of effective teams. I therefore want to be part of a firm that stresses cooperation, teamwork and openness.
