Home Row

Fingers are placed on Home Row as shown below:

Each finger has a place to rest on the keyboard. This is the Home Row position.

Remember, the G and H are showing, like your two front teeth!

Name the Fingers

Each finger has a name. Name fingers with Left and Right to show which hand to use. For example, Left Pinky, Right Ring, etc.

Finger Assignments

Each finger has a set of letters it needs to reach for.

---

Spacebar

The Thumbs are the only fingers that can touch the spacebar. Use only one space between words and after commas and periods.

---

Return

Use the Right Pinky to reach and touch Return or Enter. Try to keep your Pointer Finger fixed on the J key. The other fingers can spread out to help reach.

Delete

Use the Right Pinky to reach and touch Delete or Backspace Key. Try to keep your pointer finger fixed on the J key. The other fingers can spread out to help reach.
