2009 WINTER CLINIC
This years Region
7 Winter Clinic was held at

TRAINING
PERSPECTIVE
Every once in a
while I think, “why am I still active in Soo Bahk Do training after almost 27
years?” For those of you who feel excited about training, good! Keep training! For those who feel down about it a bit,
that’s okay. The value of training is gained
and understood by studying and doing.
Appreciate where you have gone and be optimistic about your future. Develop training habits that work for you. You set your personal goals and you achieve
what you want to. Obviously the more
effort you put into it, the more you get out of it. Do not compare yourselves to others, only
your goals. Be realistic with your
expectations and be happy about your achievements. Keep an exciting attitude toward learning and
training. We all have our ups and downs
and what helps keep the ups in training is to develop good training
habits. This keeps us inspired and eager
to learn more. Become a Martial Artist
by doing. As my instructor says, “be a
player”. Enjoy your journey to the next
level!

PVT –
President’s Vision Tour
President H.C.
Hwang explains his motivation for President’s Vision Tour as follows, "Our beloved
Founder of the Moo Duk Kwan, Grandmaster Hwang Kee passed away on July 14,
2002. Upon his passing, Grandmaster Hwang Kee became part of the
Past. We are the present, and the future of the Moo Duk Kwan. It is
dependant upon us and our actions. Now is a very important time in the
Moo Duk Kwan's history for the present members to strengthen relationships with
each other and solidify a worldwide structure that will ensure the future
longevity of our art into the next century."
What can we do at
Highland Park Soo Bahk Do together and individually? How can I be involved and invite
more people to join our school? Share your ideas with our PVT committee members
Jo Kyo Ava Rostampour, Kyo Sa Nim Ann Rostampour, Daymond Dean or Elina
Ruppert. All ideas welcome!!
