20080318 - Garden Gloves

I use garden gloves with a latex covering.  Someone should start making gloves with extra latex on the thumb and at least the first two fingers.  Those are the parts that always seem to wear through first.

20080226 - New Scarecrows

I had this idea several years back.  I thought this would be effective for birds mostly, but it may work for other animals -- use predator recordings, hawks, owls, big cats, etc to scare off birds and animals.  These could be setup on devices with car batteries that could be moved around on a periodic bases.  The calls could be set randomly or based on a motion device detector.  It would be interesting to set up test to see how this could effectively be deployed.  It seems to me that natural predator noises would be ingrained trait in animals and would effectively never be dismissed.
