Welcome to our Website and thank you for visiting. We’d like you to meet our Club Caller, Dick Henschel, who is one of the Top Ten Callers in the Bay Area. DANCING INFORMATION Wednesday is our Club night when we workshop the Plus level from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and dance Plus from 8:30 to 9:30 PM. You will find us at the Martinez Adult Center on "F" and Alhambra Streets in Martinez, CA. Just follow the sounds of laughter, loud music and good Calling. On Tuesday nights we "Host" an advanced night with an A1 teach program from, 7:00 to 8:30 PM and dancing full A2 from 8:30 to 10:00 PM at the Pacheco Community Center, 5800 Pacheco Blvd., Pacheco, CA. If you are looking for just plain old-fashioned fun – we are the Club you will want to dance with. We are serious, mostly, but we really enjoy our Square Dancing. We encourage "Drop Ins" on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights. We hope to see you soon. Just tell us you found us on this Website, and for the first week you dance with us, it will be FREE. No dance partner? Not to worry we welcome singles and couples at the class. Brief Club History (Click Here For Detailed Club History)In the early 1960’s a small, but nevertheless fun loving group of employees at the Shell Refinery in Martinez, California got together to do the two things they liked best, Square Dance and Party. They called themselves the Shell Swingers and they had a really good time. They had such a good time that their reputation began to grow and spread. Others joined the Club and in the mid-1980’s they changed their name to the Martinez Swingers. But they are still doing the two things they like the best. Mysteriously enough, our reputation for dancing and having a good time is still growing.
