The benchwork is constructed of L-girder 1x3 & 1x2 #2 pine. It is very simple and strong. The roadbed is spline construction made from redwood. Redwood is very straight grain and will bend without breaking if cut correctly. The benchwork forms an "E" and fits into a three sided recess. The overall size is 12 ft x 23 ft.
