The farm is complete! The farm along with many acres of crops has
a large herd of cattle and a few horses. Here is a collection of photos, click on them for a larger view. |

![]() Overview of barn scene |
Besides the buildings shown here there is a grazing field to the right for horses and the stock pens to take cattle to market on the left.
![]() Cluster of buildings |
Left to right; feeder barn, corn crib, storage silos, storage barn
![]() Feeder Barn |
Close up of feeder barn; typical of life on a farm the barn is undergoing repairs. This is a kit by Showcase.
![]() Corn Crib |
This corn crib is scratch built and modeled after a corn crib only a few miles from my house. If interested, here are drawings and prototype photos of this corn crib. Click Here
![]() Interior view of Corn Crib |
Yes, there are corn cobs drying in the corn crib (actually grass seed pretending to be corn cobs). Notice the inside vented walls. The end doors slide back and forth.
![]() Main Storage Barn |
This is a kit from American Model Builders. The foundation and lightning rod protection are scratch built items
![]() Silos & Barn |
Imex Model Company is the source but I have done major surgery in order for the silos to look like this. Note the small building between the silos. The original model is to the right. |

![]() Stock Pen |
The stock pen is scratch built based on Sante Fe design criteria. Kappler scale lumber was used through out. The extensions on the platform gates are accurate and extend/retract. The metal gates were scratch built from brass wire and actually swing.
![]() Closeup of chutes |
Cattle have to get into the stock cars somehow. This is the means to that end. Over at the slaughter house (Rochester Beef Company) are similar chutes & pens.
![]() Farmhouse |
The DuBois Farmhouse is a kit by Branchline.
