This trestle follows N&W standards but is otherwise freelance in
design. I used Kappler scale lumber. The rail is code 55 and is held
in place with rubber cement and the guard rails are code 40.
The trestle is xxx high and xxx long. The trestle supports the main
line of the SouthWestern while a secondary line out of the town of
River's Bend passes underneath.

Here are three overhead views. The trestle is
complete but scenery has not taken place.
During the construction phase Homosate roadbed was
installed following the curve of the track on both sides of the cut.
I laid the beams supporting the bridge ties in place. The rails were
laid after the bridge was built and installed. At this point I then
removed the ties and beam structure from the Homosate and laid it on
the workbench upside down. The bents and bracing were then installed
(upside down of course). This allowed me to follow the curve of the
track precisely.
I drew (full size for N scale) the bents on paper
and fastened this drawing to a scrap piece of Homosate. I
constructed the bents on top of this drawing using pre-stained
Kappler scale lumber.
Here is the finished trestle with a (SouthWestern
Steam) Bachmann Consolidation on the point running a freight across.
