Eastern Pennsylvania diving consists mostly of New Jersey and quarry diving. Quarry diving is popular for training and practice dives. Controlled conditions provide a margin of safety. Typical depths range from 30-100 feet, zero current, 50-70F temperatures during the summer and in excess of 30-70 feet visibility.

During the summer, Dutch Springs sees over 300 divers per weekend day, Stu Schooley estimates about 30,000 diver-visits annually. Closed during the Winter.
