Early Literacy Links for Teachers
![]()
Early Literacy is the skills that preschool children develop
through exposure to reading and writing in context of meaningful communication.
This web site helps teachers link to other web sites to weave the goals
of early literacy into their curriculum. To be most successful in
literacy it is important to intentionally have deep, meaningful curriculum
as a medium to develop the early literacy skills. Direct instruction
of the skills is important within the context of deeper learning.
Hopefully teachers will find these links helpful as they explore both the
process and the theory of early literacy, please send a quick e-mail if
you find this helpful, or find links are no longer available.
