Managed a vendor relationship on a sensitive legal compliance project. Held the vendor accountable for their delivery agreements in the Statement of Work. Kept senior management aware of vendor failure to deliver as promised. Assisted the legal department in the deployment of a vendor provided legal billing system. Provided technical assistance to the vendor. Prepared test data for training classes for the billing system. Provided technical expertise (using Perl and Python) for a proof of concept project to categorize and protect unstructured data. Joined a project that was at risk to deliver regulatory imposed features. Software Test Engineer
Worked for six months as a software quality assurance test engineer in the market data organization, testing Sun Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux based financial software systems. Performed both functional and regression testing, reporting issues and retesting once fixes were provided. Developed shell scripts to automate repeating tasks and improve the reliability of results. Took on additional responsibility to prepare and conduct meetings to coordinate the testing and usage of the pre-production test environment, which led to a long term position as the project manager of the User Acceptance Test (UAT) environment and primary interface with customers in other groups.

Worked two temporary assignments, first a nearby hospital to correct security and data integrity issues caused by a campus wide worm that spread throughout the hospital network on Windows 2000 desktop systems. Moved on to a brief assignment at a local college to help the students install and configure Cisco Clean Access Client software and update their anti virus protection on Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Mac OS X systems connected to the dormitory and campus network.
