Hey gang, I need your
help with this one.
I tried to see what Dick Martin had on his card, Just a small portion
of it was visable.
The first line ended with " ss"
and the second line ended with " and"
I was thinking maybe he said something like "Miss England"
or "Miss Ireland" or something along those lines.
Any takers?

I remember
reading something somewhere on the internet that said he could have
said or wrote "Miss Streisand" refering to Barbra Streisand.
It does fit with what is visible.
Maybe some day the truth will be known.
Until then enjoy my site and the Match Game as well.

All I can tell is that the first line is "Miss." In the
last picture, I can make out an M. Also, I like that little Match
Game logo you put on all of your pictures. It adds a finishing touch.
Great Site!

Hey,
Great site. Love it.
By the way, in regards to the Dick Martin OOPS! episode (Match Game
78, ep #1245), my guess is that the blacked-out answer would be
Miss Eckland (referring to Britt Eckland), although I don't know
if Britt Eckland was popular at the time.

..... Miss Poland.
They probably bleeped it because it was an ethnic slur.

I believe that the person above me is correct in saying that Dick's
answer was "Miss Poland," because I put the image through
a photo editor, and found a "P" and an "L" on
the card.
Cheers to all fellow Match Gamers,
