Explanation of the conversion: This conversion is based on a combination of Galaxy Force Autolander and
Cybertron Brakedown. I used highest of either's Tech Specs and watched the television series to add details.
History: Brakedown is one of the oldest Transformers on Velocitron, the Speed Planet. He has been around almost since the first
Cybertronian settlers arrived on Speed Planet carrying the Cyber Planet Key. This veteran racer was the Transformer that
trained Override II for her races when she was first brought on line. It was Brakedown that
made sure she became leader of Velocitron. In fact, Brakedown has been training and racing with the fastest and brightest
speed stars of Velocitron for close to a million years!
An old racer on his last lap, Brakedown was the fastest around in his day. He knows every inch of track on
the Velocitron, and while his systems can't keep up with the supercharged speed of younger robots this
old speed demon's still got one or two tricks up his sleeve. With his pipes rusting through and his suspension grown
brittle with age, he's got to rely on Clocker, to whom he's passed his knowledge of racing.
Bored with the lack of real racing competition on her planet, Override II was very interested when Megatron V arrived
looking for the Planet Key. She challanged him to a race for the information he requested, and she won. Afterwards
she admitted she knew nothing of the Planet Key. Asking Megatron V what the Planet Key was, he said she'd have to beat
him in their next race to learn that. Megatron V then sent Crumplezone II and Ransack V to try to get information
about the Planet Key from Brakedown, but Brakedown and his student Clocker were saved buy Hot Shot III, who
saw they were in trouble (Transformers: Galaxy Force 1.06).
During a preliminary for the Great Race, Hot Shot III was stuck in a sand trap, and Brakedown sacrificed his own
drive belt to save Hot Shot III.
Brakedown and Clocker aided Hot Shot III in winning the Great Race. Since then the pair became allies of the Autobots, but
they stayed on the Speed Planet as the others returned to Earth.
When Starscream III inserted the third Cyber Planet Key into the Omega Lock, it opened portals on Earth, the Speed Planet
and Animatros, the Jungle Planet to the Grand Black Hole, which Brakedown and Clocker witnessed (Transformers: Galaxy
Force 1.27).
As the Grand Black Hole continued to enlarge, Primus attempted to seal it. This was witnessed through giant space bridges
on Velocitron by Brakedown, Clocker and Dirt Boss II, on the planet Animatros by Backstop, Undermine and Brimstone,
and on Earth (Transformers: Galaxy Force 1.42).
Trivia: Brakedown shouldn't be confused with Breakdown, a Decepticon who turns into a car.
Powers: Brakedown is a brilliant and highly skilled racer and mechanic. He knows just about every inch of track
on his home planet and just about everyone who lives there. In car form he is capable of cruising at over 210 mph.
Utilizes a laser and energon sword weapon thanks to the use of a Force Chip.
Weaknesses: Brakedown is one of the oldest beings on the Speed Planet, and requires constant maintenance
just to keep from falling apart. He only has average strength and cannot fly.
