Very wide diagonal band with bird and branch border

This is a narrow piece (the chart actually extends the pattern by about 5 stitches), which looks similar to the pieces Ellis describes as either girdles or scarves.
The longest diagonal has about 11 box units. As in the original, the rightmost bird is inconsistent with the others.
