"You can't arrest me!" Kara protested. "I'm not drunk! I only had one--"
Officer DeRenzi glared at Kara and held on to her more tightly. "Root beer! Root beer, I mean!"
"You're not being arrested for drunk driving," Officer O'Malley explained. "Or underage drinking. You're being arrested for driving with a suspended license."
"How was I supposed to know my license was suspended?"
"Because we took it away from you a month ago," Officer DeRenzi said. "And because you signed the paperwork yourself."
"I have people to sign papers for me! I don't read all that stuff!"
"You're also being arrested for animal cruelty. Who carries a dog around in a purse anyway?"
"But she looks so cute in there! That's h--"
"Keep talking and we'll add a charge of trademark infringement as well."
