Camera Mount

Warning: If you are not competent or do not feel comfortable doing any of these modifications or procedures, then please do not do so. I will not be held responsible for any damages caused by a result of your actions. Now on to the fun stuff!

I created this for a solid place to mount a video camera to the cockpit of the car.
Thanks to Hybrid for the write up and thanks to SPP for the idea.

Now on with a few pictures and comments from me.

I chose to use steel instead of aluminum. Either will work just fine.

Left: Mounting the bars to the vise to drill by hand
Right: Mounting the bars in the drill press for a straight shot

I chose to weld the bolts into the bracket to prevent them from falling out and to ease installation.

Final Installation

Update [12.17.02]: After mounting this up and looking at it for a bit, I have decided not to use this mount. It's a basically a blunt spear pointed towards your head, neck, and chest. So I'm currently working on a mount for the rear. I do not recommend using this either.
