BattleBots is the first major robotic combat competition
to be televisied nationally on a regular basis.  Just
recently finishing its fifth season on "Comedy Central"
the programs popularity has grown to the point that the
most recent season had 452 entrants including bots from,
Speilbergs "Dreamworks", the Airforce Academy, and Jay
Leno!
   For those familiar with the show, our bot is a "spinner"
however what spins is an 18lb. solid steel hoop with two
blades attached.  The bot is electric with two 1hp motors
mounted in a "tank drive" setup and a thrid 1hp. motor to
spin the ring.  The outer shell is 1/8" think stainless steel.
