Personal Statement: I believe art is an expression of one's self and a form of communication. I consider expression and communication between people to be essential to our development, coexistence, and happiness. Playing music and guitar are my personal modes of making art, and I have chosen to make this my career. I find it enjoyable to create and present my own art and to experience that of others. Taking in art of all kinds helps me grow as a person and view my own artistry better. I also enjoy teaching and I believe that passing on what I have learned has made me a better musician and has given others a chance to begin learning about music and guitar. The continuing effort to develop myself and my artistry has become my purpose in life and has led me to a feeling of happiness and fulfillment.
