Our favorite local wineries (Alexander Valley)

Trentadue: We particularly like the zinfandel and the port!

Chateau Souverain: Located just across the highway from Trentadue, Chateau Souverain has very nice reds.

Silver Oak: Silver Oak is world-renowned for high quality (and pricey) cabernet sauvignon.

Clos du Bois: Also good reds. 

There are many other wineries in the greater Sonoma area that we also like, including Ravenswood (Sonoma), BR Cohn (Glen Ellen), Chateau St. Jean (Kenwood), St. Francis (Santa Rosa), Valley of the Moon (Glen Ellen). 

Other local activities

Cornerstone Gardens: This was actually our alternate choice wedding site: a diverse set of small individual landscape gardens created by well-known landscape architects and designers.  Highly recommended.

Charles Schulz Museum: The creator of "Peanuts" is from Santa Rosa, and there is a museum dedicated to his work.  In  celebration of 55 years of Peanuts, 55 Charlie Brown statues from local artists will be on display around Santa Rosa this summer. 

River Rock Casino: Yes, there is a casino in Geyserville!
