Lilith-Ritus
A Ritual Invocation of Lilith
(Badly translated from the German by Joseph Max)
Note: The following is a partial reconstruction from what notes of mine I can find on the original German. I've been unable to locate the hard copy I once had, or a copy in German on the Net. The original posting of our "Invocation of Lilith" somehow didn't get stored in Deja/Google's Usenet archive either. There is reference to the posting, but not the posting itself. Lilith likes to keep herself obscure...
The "Lilith Ritual" in Portuguese seems to be from the same source, though the original website seems to be offline so I can't inquire where they got it from. The version linked to here is the Google archive "babelfish" English translation, so the syntax is pretty poor.
If anyone has a copy of Lilith-Ritus in the original German,
I would greatly appreciate it if they would contact
me!
LILITH-RITUS:
The name of Lilith first appears in the Sumeria and Babylonia.
Der name Lilith kommet vermutlich aus der Sumerishen und Bedeutet.
Originally, Lilith had only one aspect, "terrible Mother-Goddess".
UrsprAnglich weist Lilith nur einen aspekt auf den der furcht
baren mutter-gitten.
In all of the versions of the myth, it maintained two singular
aspects:
In Laure der entwicklung des Mythos erhalt sie einen eigenartigen
doppleraspekt:
As a divine prostitute, she seeks to seduce all men;
Als Gittliche dirne versucht sie samtliche.
As the terrible mother, she seeks to harm pregnant women.
Als baren mutter-gitten, Die siget des lichtes bemNeHtigt hat.
Note: The following is my English translation/adaptation of the original. Still trying to locate the original German.)
1. Banishing Pentagram Ritual
2. The ritual room is lit by a single candle. The priestess, dressed in a black robe, squats in the middle of the room.
3. The participants walk seperately and naked to the temple. In the background is weird monotone chanting. The participants sit down in a circle around the priestess.
4. Statement of Intent: "It is our will, by our self-love, to examine and liberate our sexuality. [Transliterated from German:"ourselves be like ourselves sexual love affair examine to liberate"]
5. Music [entint?] excellent choice: Diamanda Galas, "Delever Me From My Enemies" [and the ?]
6. The participants intone the Mantra, visualizing the priestess as Lilith. She is naked, with wild black hair, the fangs of a wolf, the feet of an owl, and raven's wings.
For the mantras, divide each one among the participants into two groups:
- Mantra 1: "KI-SI-KIL-LIL-LA-KE
- Mantra 2: "KI-SI-KIL-LU-DA-KA-RA
The groups alternate the mantras back-and-forth.
(The chants 1 and 2 (see below) are spoken by a second priestess or preist over the mantras.)
Chant 1: "Terrible is she, impetuous is she, awesome is she, she is the first harlot! Her spirit is of the raven, her hair is dark as night, her breasts are beautiful, her hunger is for flesh and blood!"
Chant 2: "Dark is she, but brilliant! Black are her wings, black on black! Her lips are red as rose, kissing all of the Universe! She is Lilith, who leadeth forth the hordes of the Abyss, and leadeth man to liberation! She is the irresistible fulfiller of all lust, seer of desire. First of all women was she - Lilith, not Eve was the first! Her hand brings forth the revolution of the Will and true freedom of the mind! She is KI-SI-KIL-LIL-LA-KE, Queen of the Magic! Look on her in lust and despair!"
7. When the priestess has invoked Lilith, she rises up and begins to dance in a circle, faster and faster until a climax is reached and she cries out. The mantras stop, and the second priestess then delivers the Lunar or Enochian Invocation below. (Participants can occasionally call out Lilith's name during the invocation.)

8. After the Inovcations, the music recommences and the Priestess draws each participant one by one to dance inside of the circle. Each participant places a rock, as sacrifice for the Goddess, in a earthenware bowl with red wine or other liquid, then another participant enters in the circle.
9. The participants dance with each other and draw forth the Sacrament, which they gather and distribute to each other, by whatever means.
10. Closing and banishing.
