For those interested in such things, I am a grand stellium Leo, my Moon in near-perfect opposition in Aquarius, both squared with Scorpio rising.
I have a young daughter that I'm very interested in. I'm always interested in the perspectives of other pagan/magickal parents and how they deal with being in the philosophical/religious minority in America. (Although I am lucky enough to live in Berkeley, California, where you can't spit without hitting half-a-dozen Neopagans...)
I've been studying and practicing magick in one form or another since my middle teens (I was a teenage witch!), so I was around for the Great Occult Revival of the 1960's. We didn't have a lot to go on in those days, just Gardner and Waite and the occasional Crowley when one could find anything in print. We made a whole lot up ourselves. I think that experience prepped me for my current passion: Chaos Magick.
However, I spent most of the 1980's in a serious state of magical denial, and though I fancied myself a skeptic, most of my skepticism was directed at slicing through the bullshit and noise and trying to uncover the core principles that actually DO work; so in all it was a useful decade.
Along about 1986, I became aquainted with some serious Thelemic magicians, and they impressed me a lot. I began to have some of those strange inexplicable events that cause one to question either one's world-view or one's sanity. As a result I spent a few years as an eclectic Thelemite (though never belonging to any OTO or similar organization), though it wasn't until I came across Peter Carroll, then through him Austin Osman Spare, that I started delving into the occult in PRACTICE, rather than merely in theory.
I continue to work with my partner in Life as well as Magic, Lilith Darkchilde, who co-authored the "Invocation of Lilith" with me that seems to have spread to the far corners of the WWW. Our daughter who is the most powerful magical working either of us has ever done.
I'm also a musician, a recording engineer, a graphic designer and can weild a powerful barbaque brush.
I am an Initiate of the AutonomatriX Guild, which you can link to from this page so I won't babble on about it here. I'm also, intrestingly enough, an Initiate of the Golden Dawn. It gives me a way to indulge my hobby of making magickal tools. I am currently the Imperator General of the Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn.
I also dabble in Enochian Magic, Hermetic Alchemy, Sexual Magick, and have worked a good bit with Asatru paradigms as well as the usual eclectic witchcraft.
I have an e-book, "Techniques of Chaos Magic" that's in a perpetual state of revision, excerpts of which you can read here on this homepage. I'm still open to publishing offers...
