If you only own only one canoe, it should be an Old Town Penobscot 16, here shown on a winter trip heavily loaded with lots of camping gear. This versatile canoe has good directional stability for open water, but is also comfortable in class II rapids. Our 1984 Penobscot has seen service on thousands of miles of river and is still going strong!
