Now, I know that some of these web pages are going to upset many people because they don’t fall into what we have always believed to be the truth. But again I ask you to bare with me and read everything before you get to upset.
I know that the Scribes, Pharisees and Elders of today will all come against me, but the truth will always win.
My first bible that was given to me as a young boy was the New World Translations of the Holy Scriptures. (Jehovah Witness bible) later someone gave me the book of Mormons.
And my mother gave me a copy of the King James, because I could not read these books set in my room. Sometimes I would flip though them and wonder what they said and by going to church I was able to hear some of the great stories that were written in the King James. Then one day a friend of my mothers gave me a copy of the Bible or tape it was like King James was reading the Bible to me and I was able to follow a long and began to learn to read the Bible. But it did not take long before I found things in the Bible that the Baptist church told me what it meant, but I did not understand. Like 1 Co 13:8
“Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
I was taught that at this point “tongues” had stopped and was no longer needed. But how could this be had all of knowledge and prophecies stopped as well? And why is chapter 14 all about tongues and the other Spiritual gifts? Questions like this made me wonder what do I believe, do I just blindly follow because everyone around me say it is so or do check it out for myself and make sure that what I am following is the truth. By now from reading my site you know the way I went. I want to know the truth and to follow it.
Now that brings me to the book of Jasher you see the King James Bible (Cannon) brings up the book in Joshua 10:13 it asks “is this not written in the book of Jasher” and again in 2 Sam 1:18 it said “indeed it is written in the book of Jasher” I would like to read that book but I have been all over the 66 books of the Bible and can’t find the 67th one.
Here is my point, I have read the Lost books of the Bible with writings from Barnabas, Paul and Thecla, The Acts of Pontius Pilate, Letters between Pilate and Herod. And many more, I just love the way Barnabas writes, and Pilates letters talking about the things he seen after Christ was crucified and the things that he seen before like Lazarus being raised from the dead. Pilate writes;
“Lazarus, who had been dead four days, commanding by a word alone that the dead man should be raised, when his body was already corrupted by worms which bred in his wounds. And he commanded the fetid body, which lay in the grave, to run, and as a bridegroom from his chamber so he went forth from his grave, full of sweet perfume.”
Wow, why did we take these books out of our Bible, at what point in life did we come to where someone needed to tell us what we should believe as truth and what we should not read. Back when the first church started some worked very hard at keeping people from reading any part of the Bible. This made it so they could rule over the people and say God said so do it or you will go to Hell. So people believed it because why would the church and/or government lie?
I have had all kinds of people tell me I am not to read anything that is not the (cannon)Bible and I must admit 10 years ago I would have said the same thing. But you see my eyes have been opened and my walk with Christ far better because I see the whole picture more clearer.
I did not find anything that that changed who Jesus Christ was or changed Salvation it is all the same that is in the Bible just expanded. Some of the writing that I read were not part of what I feel should have been included but others I wish that we would have keep then in from the beginning, they are wonderful books.
I wish that someone could put them into the Bible Code computer program and see if they are of God, I would love to know if the signature of God is written into them.
But this is how I see it if they are not part of the Bible then they are at lest good books to read to help bring you closer to our loving Father. No different then picking up a book at a book store or reading what someone wrote on the web. And as Jesus said “if they are not against us, then they are for us”
