How Do I Add My Organization To Your Directory?

To add your organization, simply send the directory compiler an email with your request. You can do this by clicking on the 'about us' link. Once there, you will find a support team link you can use to request a listing in our directory.

What Information Must I Give When Adding My Organization?

You will need to supply your organization's name, a primary contact person and his or her title, a short description of the benefits of your organization, and a way of contacting your organization.




When possible, we would appreciate at least two methods of contacting your organization. Either an email and phone number, or a website URL and phone number, or all three. You may also give as many phone numbers, as you like. Simply place a note next to each phone number as to the purpose of the number.




An address to your organization is also appreciated. This is because there are some users of our directory that may not have the means to contact you in any other way.

Will My Email Address Be Visible On Your Website For Spammers To Harvest?

No. We use a sophisticated 'Form Mail' system powered by ©HTPad.com that hides all email addresses from being displayed on our website.




This 'Form Mail' script receives a special code for each organization and looks up the listing after the form has been submitted. The user (emailer) has no idea this process is taking place. As far as the emailer is concerned, he or she is simply sending a normal email message.

Will Your Users Be Given My Email Address During The Email Process?

No. The email process is a hidden background process and is shielded from the user. They are never given nor shown your email address at any point of the emailing process.

How Long Does It Take To Be Added To Your Directory?

It usually takes only a few days. In some cases however, it may take a few weeks or more. It all depends on how long it takes the compiler to confirm and validate all the supplied information.

Does A Real Person Evaluate My Request To Add My Organization?

Yes. This is why it takes a while to process new listings. A real person is in charge of making sure each listing is valid and helpful.




A real person checks the supplied URL, evaluates the website (if any), sends an email to the supplied email address, calls all supplied phone numbers, and talks directly to the primary contact person.




All of this is done to further assure a genuinely helpful directory that is of real benefit to those in need of assistance.

Is This Directory Limited To Organizations Providing Service To Detroit/Wayne County?

Yes, We have narrowed the scope of our focus to this area in order to provide a specific base of computer access for people with disabilities living within the area covered by our grant.
