Nana Liz's Walnut Bars

Ingredients:

brown sugar |
|
|
1 cup |
walnuts |
|
|
½ tsp |
vanilla |
|

¾ cup |
all-purpose flour |

½ tsp |
baking soda |

pinch |
salt |

Directions:
Beat 1 egg, add 1 cup brown sugar, and mix until very smooth
Stir in 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1 tsp vanilla, and ¾ cup flour, sifted with the baking soda and the salt.
Spread the batter in a greased 9x9 pan.
Bake at 325o F for 25 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
Tips:
Don't overbake or the bars will harden like concrete!
