How it all works…
Initially, I meet with you and we review an extensive questionnaire to determine your specific culinary preferences. We discuss what types of meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables you enjoy, and which items you never want to see on your table. We talk about your favorite cuisines, the spices and flavorings you like, and how adventurous your palate is. We also chat about preparing dishes to be completed on your grill or wok. Then you give me a deposit, and we set a convenient date for me to come cook at your home.
Then I get to work designing a menu that is to your liking. I make the menu as diverse as possible, including poultry, meat, vegetarian, seafood, and pasta dishes when appropriate. Meals are prepared with either a vegetable or starch when appropriate. Each dish will be prepared exactly the way you like it. If you don’t like peas in your stew, your stew will not have any peas. If you like Mexican food extra hot or extra mild, that’s the way I will make it for you. Once you have approved the menu, we confirm the details for my gaining entry to your home and I receive a check for the balance due on the service. You do not need to be at home while I’m working.
Please remember that on rare occasion, a particular ingredient may not meet my standards or may simply be unavailable. If that happens, I will make an appropriate substitution. Quality is very important to me.
On your scheduled cooking day, I come to your home to prepare the meals. Before arriving at your home, I shop for the freshest ingredients I can find. I bring all of my own pots, pans, bowls and equipment, right down to the dish towels. I set up in your kitchen and get to work. Several hours later, I pack up and go, leaving nicely packaged and labeled meals in your refrigerator and freezer. Meals can be packaged as singles, doubles or family style, depending on your needs. I also leave detailed heating instructions to assure the best tasting meals possible.
Many of the meals will be frozen to maintain their peak flavor. Generally, the meals will be thawed overnight in the refrigerator prior to eating. If your schedule changes, there’s no problem. A dinner that has been defrosted can be eaten within 3 or 4 days.
I will also leave at your home a tentative menu and date for your next service. Services are provided on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
