- You
play matches just like
you practice.
If you just go out and hit the ball without thinking during practice,
that’s what you will do in a match. It is a good recipe for losing to
lesser opponents.
-
Focus during practice
and you will focus during a match. Try and avoid idle chatter until
after practice
-
Listen to your coaches.
Every
drill has a reason or purpose. Determine that purpose and work
diligently on that skill. It is during practice when your game improves
not during matches
- Work
on your weaknesses.
That’s how you improve your game. It may not be fun but it wins matches
-
Practice your strengths
– that also wins matches
- Keep
socializing to a
minimum. Practice time is limited and precious. Use it wisely.
-
Make sure you go out and
hit every weekend. This is an ideal time for challenge matches
