I am just starting to expand my layout.  The next phase is a wye for reversing on the main line.  I like to run combinations of cars and engines so the extra sidings will give me an opportunity for more operations.  I plan on adding some "backwoods flats" to complete the scenery along the sidings against the wall.  The outer tracks will have a tall trestle that will include a turnout on the trestle.  The scenery will go all the way to the floor creating a gorge.  This picture shows the track being test fit.  After a trip to buy some lumber I will start the benchwork.  I plan on adding pictures as I go.  Check back!

Track plan being worked out.

Preliminary sketch of track layout.  The length of the sidings is 8 feet.  This sketch is not to scale.

1"x4" Benchwork completed

This shot also shows some of the mess    created from the foam carving.  I plan on bringing the rock cliff around from the gorge to the front of the layout.
