Rich Griffith is currently taking over the duties of the Head Coach while awaiting confirmation from the Ann Arbor Public Schools on his appointment. Rich is a certified United States Rowing Association Coach. He is currently Vice President of the Ann Arbor Rowing Club. He is also in charge of their Learn To Row Program and a competitive Masters Rower.
Varsity Womens Coach: Michael Dove

Michael is a certified United States Rowing Association Coach and has been involved with rowing in Ann Arbor for more than 10 years. In addition to having been a member of the Ann Arbor Rowing Club's board of directors. Mike rows competitively in Master's Regattas. Mr. Dove has been a coach with the Pioneer Crew since the fall of 1999 when he helped start the team as a club. His crews have won the State Championship, Midwest Championship, and placed in the finals of the Canadian Secondary Schools Champioship along with the finals of US Rowing Youth National Championship.

Bernadette is a former U.S. National Team rower and University of Michigan All-American .
As a student-athlete at Michigan, Teeley rowed in the varsity eight that won the Big Ten Conference championship and placed second at the NCAA Championships, which stands as a program best. As a rower she earned distinctions including all-Big Ten first team, all-Central Region first team, and CRCA National Scholar Athlete honors. She holds the current Michigan women’s indoor rowing records in the 2,000 and 6,000 meters.
After earning her degree from Michigan, she moved to the Princeton Training Center and rowed five seat in the U.S. National Team eight that won the 2002 world championship in Seville, Spain.
She is now coaching at Michigan. She previously taught high school American literature at Gabriel Richard and coached for Pioeer High School in the Ann Arbor area. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Dayton and a Master of Arts from the University of Michigan. She is married to a former Michigan rower, Brendan Teeley, and has an infant daughter, Vivian.
Volunteer Assistant Coach: Leigh Farrell
Leah Farrell (lketches@umich.edu) rowed for the University of Michigan, where as a senior (2004-05) she rowed in the first varsity eight, was a two-time member of Big Ten Boat of the Week (April 4 and April 11), and won the U-M Athletic Academic Achievement award. She was on the all-Big Ten first team and was NCAA All American in 2004 and 2005. Leah graduated with a major in physical education and minor in french. She coached with UM novice women in fall 2005 and is currently coaching with Pioneer Crew. Leah plans to be around all summer, during which time she he will be coaching adults and the summer youth program.
