TEAM NUMBERS
- Our goal is to carry a maximum of 64 Varsity/Junior Varsity rowers. This would be split 50/50 or 32 girls and 32 boys. When we exceed these numbers rowers will be told they may not get much water time based on the guideline above.
- New rowers would be limited to 36 rowers. While we would like to keep a 50/50 split, this would depend on the turn out of new rowers. We will not cut unless we feel they are a danger to themselves or the crews on the water. Safety will be an overriding factor. Safety will be an overriding factor. If we exceed our limit of new rowers we will make every attempt to keep you involved but cannot guarantee total involvement.
- Our equipment is limiting factor. The size of our boathouse will only accommodate six eight-man shells and five four-man shells, giving us a fleet for 79 rowers and coxswains.
- The last limiting factor is the number of coaches available. For reasons of safety we limit the coach on the water to 16 rowers.
