Sailing Trip

This is our 65 foot schooner known as Captain Morgan.

This is a private charter, it is us, the Captain and the hostess only. Many of the beaches are clothing optional on the French side, so bring sunglasses so you won't be caught staring!!

We will leave the villa around 7:45 AM, our sailing trip will begin with check-in at 8:45 AM on Wednesday at the dock in Simpson Bay near the airport.  We then depart at 9:30 AM and head around the west side of the island to snorkel at Creole Rock Marine Park (about 2.5 hour sail) with a stop first at Baie Longue for a 45 minute swim.  Those of you who are sharp, will note that Creole Rock is very close to our Villa.  We then sail a short trip to Happy Bay, a private secluded beach for lunch on board (BBQ chicken, ribs, scalloped potatoes, and salad) and more swimming.  Finally we have a short sail back to Marigot arriving around 4:30 PM, from there we will be given a ride back to where we started at Simpson Bay via taxi.  Of course, open bar (rum punch, beer, wine, sodas, & water) and snacks all day.  Bring a change of clothes with you so can be dry (on the outside) for dinner.

My plan is to eat dinner at Uncle Harry's near the airport on the water.  It's a very informal steak and seafood restaurant. Best grilled Caribbean lobster in town!

If you are prone to seasickness or if you are not prone to sea sickness, get your Dramamine or patches (need a prescription for the patches) ahead of time and bring them with you.  Our path around the west side is the more gentle side, but you never know.
