movements in the Schools of the Soldier and Company precisely by the numbers. At the section level (platoon level if anticipated low attendance) pick a deserving (and willing) private. Send him a copy of one drill movement and have him teach it. This need not be done at each event.
4. Communication with Sections - Telephone
calls should be made to section members before maximum effort events or as asked before other events. After coordinating with the Captain, the 1 SGT should call the sergeants and corporals to advise them of meal plans and any unusual equipment or other requirements. Corporals should automatically call their sections starting Sunday or Monday before the event. This timing allows for callbacks and arrangements of equipment loans, rides, etc. These calls should be made even if you are not going to the event. In general the following information should be requested or passed along.
A. Is the section member going and if so when will he arrive?
B. Describe event if necessary: US, CS, both; expected activities (bayonet drill, full pack march, etc.); weather; campaign vs. garrison; civilian activities (ball, etc.); any problems with late arrival.
C. Is he bringing other family members or guests?
