The Morning Report
Immediately after morning roll call, a morning report of each copany should be sent to the battalion adjutant. This will enable the adjutant to prepare a consolidated morning report of the battalion for the commander to use in organizing the companies of the battalion at each event. The company morning report form should be signed by the first sergeant, or, in his absence, by the acting first sergeant, and by the officer in command of the company, and should be an accurate report of the company for the day.
In each category provided on the morning report form, the numbers of commissioned officers, non- commissioned officers and enlisted men present and absent should be noted. In the spaces provided as 'total', this includes the number of non-commissioned officers and enlisted men. In the 'aggregate' space, this is the total number of officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted men combined.
