Medich Battalion Guard Mount
Duty of Corporal
and
Sergeant of the Guard
1. At Guard Mount, record the names and units of all members of your Relief.
2. Report early to your Relief with a pencil and Lantern (after dark), and contact the previous Sgt. or Cpl. of the Guard. Familiarize yourself with the posts and any special orders. Take possession of the Guard Mount roster.
3. As your Relief arrives, keep them at rest until time to form them up.
4. At the proper time, have the men fall in in one rank, bring them to Attention, and call the roll. Record each man present with a check mark by his name.
5. Read the Standing Orders:
                     -All females in period dress and anyone
in Union uniform MUST have an escort while in camp. - y ou will remain awake and alert while
at your post.
                    -Sentinels will notify the Sgt. or Cpl. of the Guard immediately if a group of armed men approach the camp.
