1. The Army is directed to assemble at Mill Springs, Kentucky, near Fishing Creek
eight miles west of Somerset, Kentucky on Friday, 28th September 2007 for the purposes
of engaging the enemy.
2. The advance party consisting of the general staff, senior commanders and the
provost guard are directed to assemble one day in advance of the army at the place
appointed.
3. A current roster of all troops, whether present at Mill Springs or not, shall be
submitted by captains of companies through battalion commanders to the army AAG no
later than 8am on Sunday, 30 September 2007. At that time the submission of $2 annual
dues per soldier named on the roster shall be collected by battalion commanders and
submitted to the army AAG. This shall constitute the official roster of each unit
unless later amended.
4. All weapons will be inspected by company commanders under the supervision of
battalion officers no later than 9am on Saturday, 29 September and again no later than
7am on Sunday, 30 September. The standard AoT Inspection Form will be used and the
completed forms will be submitted to the Army AIG or AOR no later than 10 am each day.
If a company does not complete a weapon inspection, it will not be allowed to take the
field and all weapons will confiscated by the provost.
5. Morning Reports of companies shall be submitted through Battalion commanders to the
Army AAG no later than 8am each day.
6. Firewood for the troops will be issued by company by the Army Quarter Master. A
Form No. 29 completed by the officer commanding company must be submitted to the AQM
before firewood may be issued. Form No. 29 is available from the AQM at Army Head
Quarters.
7. Bedding straw will not be issued to officers or soldiers. However, hay for bedding
purposes will be available for private purchase in the camps on Friday, 28 September,
2007 only.
8. Officer’s Call for all battalion, regiment, brigade and division commanders and
their staffs is at 4pm Friday, 28 September at Army Head Quarters. A scenario walk
through will follow. Thereafter, Officer’s Call will be conducted at 8am on Saturday,
September 29 and Sunday, September 30.
9. A pass and countersign system will be in effect beginning at dawn Saturday, 29
September 2007. No soldier or civilian will be allowed into the camp without a proper
pass and the countersign. Passes are to be issued by company commanders. Pass forms
are available from the Army Provost Marshal at Army Head Quarters. The countersign
will be issued daily. Event organizers will issue an ID disc to all participants. This
disc must be shown to gain access to event grounds and camps.
10. No weapons will be discharged within the confines of the camp for any reason other
than defending against enemy attack.
11. All horses will be walked through the camp at all times. Horses will not be
allowed to graze freely in the camp, and when not accompanied and controlled by the
rider will be placed securely on a picket line.
12. Period civilians will report to the provost guard when attempting to enter the
camp and may not enter until a proper pass has been issued.
13. Quite hours will be observed in the camp between the hours of 10:30pm and 6am.
Anyone in violation is subject to arrest by the provost.
14. Reveille shall be sounded at dawn.
15. All camps will be laid out in regulation fashion with a color line and tents
arranged along company streets. Widths of company streets shall be not less than five
paces.
16. No fires shall be left unattended in any camping area. Company officers will
insure that all fires are extinguished before departing camp, or that a fire watch be
posted.
17. All officers and soldiers suffering from any medical afflictions are directed to
see the Army Surgeon, located near Army Head Quarters, for disposition.
18. The standing rules of the Army of Tennessee and the rules set forth by the event
organizers will be enforced to the letter and spirit of the rule
19. Modern vehicles will be barred from camp beginning at 7am Saturday, 29 September.
No exceptions. Vehicles in violation will be towed.
20. Recognizing the effort and fidelity of these officers, the following promotions
are thus made to rank as of 1 July 2007. Major Michael Ventura, Army Chief of Staff to
Lieutenant Colonel. Bvt. Captain Mark “Silas” Tackitt, Army Assistant Inspector
General to Major. Ken Morrison to Captain and Assistant Ordnance Officer. Chris Henry
to First Lieutenant and Aide de Camp to the general commanding
21. Mr. Patrick McAllister is appointed civilian Aide de Camp to the general
commanding.
22. First Sergeant Patrick Peterson is promoted to Army Chief Musician.
23. This order shall be published to the Army and kept in each unit’s Order Book.
