All of my jewelry starts out as a flat sheet of metal. I use a jewelers hand saw to cut out the shapes. Designs are stamped into the surface and the piece is then beaten to give it form and texture. The next step is soldering. The shape becomes earrings, pin, pendant or bracelet. Oxidizing or patinating comes next. Some pieces get highlights polished in and then three coats of lacquer cover the patina to protect the finish.

A little about the By Special Request website and listed prices:

All prices are subject to change without notice.

Earrings can be done either as a wire, a post or a soldered on wire. If you have a preference, let me know.

I also do special orders. Please call me to see if I can do it.
I do fabricating repairs at no charge. (i.e. If a solder should fail.) Other repairs are made with a small fee.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
