November 2005
Show season is over and has been another great year of learning. We have made some really wonderful friends, that have also been great mentors for us. We Thank You for all your help!!! Julia is very proud of her wether Monte, who now will be receiving his Bronze certificate for winning his 3rd Best Wether.
March 2006
Our first Mello's Mini Kids were born on St. Patrick's Day. Two doelings, one light grey agouti with a small belly band who is named Clover, and a light brown agouti with waddles named Shamrock. Going to the kidding clinic Michelle Fonda put on in Tulare was so helpful, along with Michelle's coaching, this birth was such a good experience. Michelle is truly a wonderful person. Can't wait to see you all at the shows this year.
April 2006
Julia is very excited. At Placerville the first show for her doelings, they placed 2nd and 3rd on the second day of the show. We had a really good time and it was great to see all our goat friends and meet new friends. Can't wait till Auburn. See you there!!!
May 2006
The Auburn show was fun. Julia has her little brother Jace enjoying the show ring. He did showmanship for the first time and helped Julia in the breed classes the rest of the day. County fair was fun as always. Monte got Best Wether and placed well in 3 other classes with her does.
June 2006
The J-Lynn show was a blast again this year. We were really excited when Mort (Monte's brother) won Best Wether. We are anxiously awaiting for our doe Midnight to kid for the first time. She is bred with Elaine's buck "Valkyries Just by Landslide". This month is just flying by.
July 2006
Midnight kidded out her babies with no problems. Doelings again. Except for this miserable heat everyone is doing good. Jace did showmanship all by himself this time and did a good job, he has alot of fun. On to Roseville.
August 2006
This month has gone by fast. Sadly, this was the last Roseville Rumble. But it was still alot of fun and new memories were made. Julia showed at State Fair again did okay, not as good as last year but there are always other shows. And Julia is a good showman and is happy to show, win or lose.
September 2006
This was our first show at Susanville, it was a long drive but well worth it. We came home with a new family member. No, not a goat, but a puppy. She is a miniature Dachshund and she was meant to be ours. Lily is such a great dog.
October 2006
Julia finally got to go to Santa Rosa for the Harvest Fair for her birthday weekend. Anthony also had so much fun, he helped being the show steward. He learned to check in the classes and pass the ribbons. He has made some really wonderful friends and truly enjoys being helpful.
November 2006
The last show of the year for us was Tulare. A small show but nice to end the year. We look forward to February for the Cloverdale show.
March 2007
We went to the Cloverdale Citrus Fair in February for the first time this year. It was a small show and the weather was great. Anthony enjoys helping during the show and Julia enjoys showing. On March 2nd we had triplets born to Jewl. Sadly our little buckling didn't make it. The girls are growing well so we keep our fingers crossed for the next kidding and hope everything will go well.
April 2007
Julia's little doeling Calla Lily placed 3rd in a big class at the Placerville show, she was very happy. Placerville was fun even though the rain was coming down.

The Auburn show was this month. Next month is The National Convention!!!
June 2007
Midnight had her babies on the 17th a doe and a buck. Finally she got a boy, and he is doing well. Jacen is happy because it's really his. He's excited that he gets to show him at the Watsonville show next month. The National Convention was this past weekend. What fun!!! Julia got to be a part of the Champion Challenge with her wether "Monte". Even though he didn't win it was really a neat thing to be apart of. We also stayed to help with the Judges Training and testing. That was a fun and informative 2 days. I certainly learned some things that I didn't know.
July 2007
Julia earned a Showmanship belt buckle at the Watsonville show. Thank you to Victoria for all her help with that.
