Michael Mays - Cruisin' in Style! I'd Rather Eat Worms Than Drive a Chevy!
I'd Rather Eat Worms Than Drive a Chevy!

Double-Click for the Big Picture!

Street-Rodding in the T-Bucket is where I'll be when I am not busy with Computers or enjoying a day on the lake.

The CD Player is always loaded with our favorite Beach Boys tunes, and a nostalgic Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth Rat Fink sticker adornes the lower corner of the windshield.

As shown here, a REAL 60's rod has to have a shining set of Crager SS's to be considered authentic!

Whether we are Pulling a shot off the light, or just cruisin on a warm summer nite, heads are always turning when we are out on the town.

Just Falcon Around...

When the light turns green, you better Git! My first Street rod was this 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint, which I owned for over 20 Years. I bought it when I was 18 Years old, and modified it with a 289Hipo motor which came from a 66 Mustang GT (My 1st Car!)

The motor was built with 12.5:1 Pistons, Reworked Hipo rods, a forged crank, 295/625 Full-Race cam, and a Weiand Tunnel Ram with two 600 Holleys.

The motor was a screamer, but building a family and a career eventually put this project on the "back-Burner" and the car never got completed.

Well, here it is, my first car. A 1966 Mustang GT which I bought from a friend when I was 15 Years old. The full GT package complete with pony interior, and the 289Hipo(271 HP) Automatic made this car very well known at my High school.

Aren't you the guy from the Village People? The Livonia cops knew it pretty well too, and they awarded me four suspensions and two revocations of my drivers license in honor of it.

My Hero!

Probably the first BIG mistake of my life, was selling this car to a junkyard for 50 bucks!! with 93,000 miles on it. This car today would easily bring a mid $20,000 price. Well, only the 1st of many unwise financial moves I would make in my lifetime.
These things were a dime-a-dozen - Who would have ever thought they would be worth anything.....

What a Dope!
